Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of ISBH’s human resource department. Works in collaboration with the HR Coordinator to support the entire administrative Lifecycle of HR (onboarding, development, offboarding).

The pay range for this position is $20.97 to $24.56 per hour.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Runs reports for ISBH HR Team.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate HR staff or management.
  • Monitors HR inbox and distributes requests.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Updates and distributes HR Newsletters.
  • Updates internal employee SharePoint portal.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • Assists with new hire orientation scheduling and communication.
  • Helps prepare materials for new hire orientation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events.
  • Update and maintain HR systems in coordination with the HR Coordinator.
  • Assists HR Coordinator with company car program.
  • Nurtures a strong service culture that ensures delivery of quick, repeatable, and quality-driven service to multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree in human resources, or related field, preferred.
  • 2 years of experience as an HR assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.
  • Proficient with payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), ATS, LMS, and similar computer applications.
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
