HR Coordinator

Rifle, CO

Under the direction of the HR Director, supports the City of Rifle through work in the discipline of human resources. Some areas of focus may include all or some of the following: recruiting, onboarding, coordinating employee training activities, maintaining employee records and archives, benefits and employee wellness programs. Provides support for the general operation of the day-to-day functions of a fast-paced Human Resource Office. Requires regular/daily communication within department. This is an in-person position that is not eligible for remote work.

Minimum Education: HS Diploma/GED required. College Degree in related field preferred. PHR Certification in Human Resources highly desirable.

Job Requirements: Valid Colorado Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Ability to pass background check with results that are acceptable to the City of Rifle. Obtain Notary Certificate within 1 year of hire.

Work Experience in Positions Similar or Related to This Job: Requires a minimum of six years of experience at the level of an office administrator or executive assistant. Experience in a Human Resources role in a municipal/government setting strongly preferred.

This position is full-time with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance, as well as retirement, vacation, sick and holiday pay. Wage range is $24.10-$27.76 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is open to internal and external candidates until 7/14/24.
