Summary:
G&M Oil Company, Inc. is hiring an HR Generalist who will report directly to the Human Resources Team Lead. The HR Generalist is responsible for assisting in leading the HR department efficiently and effectively through a number of Human Resources strategies in all related areas such as Workforce Planning, Organizational Development, Employee Relations, Complaints, Investigations, Engagement, Performance Management, Labor Relations, while providing a high level of customer service and communication.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides comprehensive guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding a full range of Human Resource actions with employees, Operations management, and Human Resources staff.
- Strong knowledge of company policies and procedures and understands how to apply them in a variety of situations.
- Participates and collaborates in supervisor and management meetings.
- Identifies issues and concerns as they arise and recommends a plan for resolution.
- Manages paperwork for terminations and conducts exit interviews ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Understands various disciplinary processes and administration.
- Assists in other areas in the Human Resources department supporting onboarding, LOAs, benefits administration, and other HR functions as needed.
- Conducts investigations of sensitive allegations in an empathetic and confidential matter and completes all complaints from end-to-end adhering with company policies and procedures, while assuring confidentiality.
- Ensures complaints are accurately entered into the complaints/ HRIS database in a timely manner, and ensures complaints are assessed according to SOP's, escalates issues, manages timely.
- Act as a secondary point of contact for company counsel and consults to internal partners across all levels of the organization, including Senior leaders.
- Updates, reviews and adds to HR Policy Manuals as needed.
- Builds effective working relationships with entire HR team.
- Manages functional operations and procedures and monitors to ensure timely and efficient workflow, including but not limited to executing of all HR procedures, programs, compliance, policies, company records, filing systems, and vendors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience in a HR Generalist role with excellent experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- In-Depth knowledge of all general HR functions
- Experience using ADP Software preferred but not required
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external partners
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to multitask effectively
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative on projects, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively meet deadlines
