Human Resources Generalist Job Summary


Crane Nuclear is seeking a results-driven and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to support our department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The human resources generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and will help with essential functions such as recruiting, staffing, training and development, and employee relations. At Crane Nuclear, we understand that our business thrives when our employees thrive; as a human resources generalist, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive work culture.


Major Responsibilities


  • Work directly with and report to the Human Resources Director regarding HR functions and programs
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters
  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
  • Support the recruitment and staffing process, including creating partnerships with schools and organizations
  • Assist in the implementation of employee performance evaluation processes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases
  • Handle HR-related administrative tasks and data mining
  • Suggest new procedures and policies for improving the efficiency of HR department and company
  • Stay up to date with HR best practices and legal requirements to ensure compliance
  • Support the Intellectual Capital process by collaborating with managers to identify and implement development plans
  • Apply HR principles in accordance with business needs and strategies


Required Skills/Abilities


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with candidates, management, and stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and analytically driven
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to effectively address recruitment challenges and provide innovative solutions
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of online channels and digital platforms for crafting sourcing strategies
  • Proven presentation and public speaking skills
  • In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
  • Proficient in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Ability to understand the business and appropriately apply HR principles
  • Ability to travel 2x/quarter for recruitment activities


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business-related field preferred or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in similar roles
